When it comes to dangerous and exhilarating outdoor pursuits, you name it and Michael Coyne has done it. From SCUBA diving to sea kayaking, rock climbing to river running, Michael has given it a go, and all for a worthy cause. Through Expedition Outreach, a charitable organization founded in 1995, Michael and his wife, Serenity, use the publicity garnered from their global adventures to draw attention to charitable causes, with a particular emphasis on world peace. In fact, the team gave the name ‘Mt Hope’ to the previously unclimbed Alaskan peak they scaled, in order to draw more attention to humanity’s potential for non-violent cooperation.
Michael is a particular fan of our range of gaiters, saying “… Hillsound makes perhaps the best gaiter for alpinism on the market…” He also enjoys using the Trail Crampon Pro on gentle icy ascents and descents. As a professional athlete who uses our equipment in the harshest of conditions, Michael has been a valuable gear tester for Hillsound.
