Will the change in durability impact the overall weight of the product?
The BTR will be ever so slightly heavier due to the improvements we made for optimum stability. However, the difference will be minimal. We are expecting a 10-15g increase at the most. It's still the lightest collapsible backpacking stool on the market.
Will the change in durability impact the overall size of the product?
The BTR will be ever so slightly bigger due to the improvements we made to the feet for optimum stability. However, the difference will be minimal. We are expecting a 5mm increase in length at the most when it's retracted.
If I have already paid for the product, will there be any form of compensation for product changing?
Will the price of the BTR product remain the same after the changes?
Yes, the price of the BTR will remain the same for both sizes (14 and 17 inch). We are confident that the changes will bring increased durability and stability while there is no change in price.
Why didn't you test the weight first?
For utmost certainty, we tested our product at more than one facility; the results were slightly different among the two facilities. Therefore, the only reason we are changing the weight limit of the product is to ensure customer safety at its minimum tested limit and in case of miss usage of the product.
Did you strengthen the design?
From Day 1, we have had the utmost confidence in the strength of the design. We slightly lengthened the upper portion of the lower legs to compensate for any lost strength in the process.
How many times has it been tested?
The BTR has been extensively tested at two facilities. This doesn't include the thorough testing we've done with the product in-house.
Will this affect the warranty?
We are confidently still offering the two-year warranty on the BTR alongside our other products.
Will this affect the longevity of the stool?
No. The improvements we've made on BTR will last even longer and provide more customer satisfaction.
