    • Locate the plastic hook near the top of the stool and release the elastic cord

    • Twist open the legs, place the stool on solid ground, and take a seat!

    Major leg issues

I am a sheep guide in Idaho, Bought the stool from Outdoorsman in Arizona for glassing. It didn't take long and two of the three tubes disconnected and the lock tab on one leg no longer functions. I weigh 170 lbs. sopping wet, Pretty disappointed given the price.

Hi Mike, I am very sorry to hear about your experience! It sounds like you may have received a faulty unit. We offer a 2 year warranty on our products, so please fill out the warranty form found at the bottom of our website, or please reach out to us at Service@hillsound.ca and we will help you out!

    Nice idea

Good concept. Nice materials, comfortable, and not too heavy. However, it just doesn’t work. Fittings come apart and legs collapse unless great care is taken to make sure the button fully engages. This is sometimes difficult to accomplish. I’ve had them (2) a few years and just never use them for this reason. I think they went on two overnight trips. For reference I’m 185 pounds and my girlfriend is 110 pounds.

Thanks for the feedback! We're sorry to hear that you're not happy with the BTR stool. We hope that you'll give it another try in the future, as it does have a lot of potential. If you continue to have trouble with the legs, please reach out to us at Service@hillsound.ca and we'd love to help you out. The legs should always stay locked in place once you hear the confirming 'click' sound after fully extending them passed the marked line.

    Dangerous

I took this stool out elk hunting… set up to glass and it collapsed underneath me. A leg completely fell off.
Knocked me to the ground in jagged rocks.

    Don’t waste your money.
No response from the claims department.

Hi Dan, we are very sorry to hear about your BTR Stool collapsing. We have already reached out in response to your warranty claim and are providing you with a replacement. Apologies that our warranty process took a few business days, we hope you have a great day!

    Liability

This stool is simply put a liability. I have sat on it a total of two times and the second time was today while sitting in my driveway still “trying out” my new buy. Out of no where leg completely gave out on me and I hit the ground hard. I’m now laying in bed in pain(I already have a bad back) and regretting ever thinking a stool this lightweight would be a good option. I am 200 lbs.

Hi William, I am very sorry to hear about your BTR Stool and for any inconvenience this has caused you. It appears you have received a faulty unit. We will be reaching out to you directly to file a warranty claim and make this right.
