Be Safe, Go Wild!
Tried StablIicers "Hike Max" and the cleats fell off in an icy field within two days. So far, Hillsound's toothy cleats are keeping me upright, and only two "teeth" have broken off in three weeks. Now that I'm avoiding walking on pavement in them I hope and expect that no more teeth will fail.
Hi Peter! Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are glad you are satisfied with Hillsound product! We agree, that pavement is not ideal for the durability of the spikes. If you have any issues or questions - please do not hesitate to reach out to us at service@hillsound.ca
My old ice cleats (other name brand) wore out, so I purchased FlexSteps™ Crampons. No more falls on my icy driveway. Awesome!
Hi Greg - Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback on our crampons! We are happy to hear your FlexSteps™ are making it easier for you on icy surfaces.
I have two pairs of these that I have now used for 2 years. I use them everyday in the winter. (4 -5 months) I have them on my “barn boots” and my hiking/running boots. They are FANTASTIC. The fact that I have 2 pairs still intact and present after two years speaks volumes. I have a TON of others, all different types and mostly just one of a pair, since I have also lost a ton of them, coming off in the snow and mud.
These are PERFECT in all ways; easy on and off even in really cold temps, they stay on till you want them off, They work REALLY well in the woods, on trails, ice, mud. They are low profile enough that I can put in miles of running on any surface without having any joints bother me.
Considering how perfect they are, the price is Very fair and moderate.
Buy these, you will be satisfied with them.
These strap on cleats saved me from multiple slips and falls on icy slopes and trails this past winter. They grip very well but also allow for the movement needed to spin when throwing a disc. In winter disc golf club this past season I saw multiple people fighting with their chain cleats as the chains snapped and broke or the rubber tore during games. In comparison my Hillsound FlexSteps lasted through well over 50 rounds of icy/snowy play and are still in great shape for next winter's play. A great purchase!
